PRIVACY & INFORMED CONSENT

Contents of all coaching sessions are considered and held confidential. By agreeing to work with me, you recognize this is not a legal obligation, but a professional and ethical standard to which I firmly hold. Your privacy is of the upmost importance to me. As such, both verbal information and written records about you and your sessions cannot be shared with another party without the written consent of the client or the client’s legal guardian. Noted exceptions are as follows:

• Duty to Warn and Protect: When a client discloses intentions or a plan to harm another person, the coaching professional is required to warn the intended victim and report this information to legal authorities. In cases in which the client discloses or implies a plan for suicide, the coaching professional is morally and ethically obligated to notify legal authorities and make reasonable attempts to notify the family of the client.

• Abuse/Neglect of Children and Vulnerable Adults: If the coach becomes aware during the course of treatment of any abuse/neglect or danger of abuse/neglect to a child (or vulnerable adult), then the coaching professional is morally and ethically obligated to report this information to the appropriate social service and/or legal authorities.

• Minors/Guardianship Parents/legal guardians of non-emancipated minors have the right to access records.

SESSIONS AND FEES

Payments for one one on sessions are due in full (unless otherwise arranged in your coaching package) at the time of service and are paid directly to the coach. If you are late for the meetings, sessions will still end at the time they were scheduled to end.

SCHEDULING POLICY

If you need to meet with me between appointments, please contact me between 9:00 -7:00pm (EST). I will do my best to respond to you within 24 hours on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, I will do my best to reply to you by the next business day. Any e-mails, calls or texts to me related to your Program or sessions are for quick questions and you will receive brief responses. If you want to discuss something at length with me, I may request that we wait and discuss your question at our next appointment. Please come prepared to start and end your appointments on time. Please refer to the out of office communication policy below for more information.

RESCHEDULING POLICY

If you need to reschedule an appointment, you need to do so at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time by sending an         e-mail to me. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Our time together is important. If you need to cancel your appointment, you need to do so at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time by sending an e-mail to me. If you do not contact me at least 24 hours in advance, this will be considered a missed appointment.

MISSED APPOINTMENT POLICY

I understand that life happens. There might be a time when you miss your appointment completely, or forget to let me know 24 hours in advance that you need to cancel or reschedule. I allow 1 “freebie” missed or late canceled appointment. After that, a missed-appointment fee of 1/2 the session rate, is charged for appointments that are cancelled with less than a 24 hour notice, or no notice. In the event of a “no-show” (not attending our zoom/phone/ in-office appointment without any cancellation notice whatsoever), you will be charged in full of services. If you are coaching with a package or Program, your package or program will automatically terminate and you will not have the opportunity to reschedule or to receive a refund.

OUT OF SESSION COMMUNICATION POLICY

In order to make effective use of our session time and to track your progress in and out of session, it is helpful to journal your experiences, thoughts, feelings, issues and questions that arise between our sessions. Please write into your journal whatever thoughts may arise, and especially thoughts and feelings related to our discussions. You can then bring your journal to your next session as a reminder for us to discuss. Please avoid emailing or texting unless it is an emergency or this service is detailed in your package. This is necessary to maintain the integrity of our sessions and the equilibrium of my work/personal time. Thank you for understanding.

By participating in coaching and money mindset exercises, you acknowledge that I am not a licensed psychologist or health care professional and my services do not replace the care of psychologists or other healthcare professionals; be it emotional, mental, physical, or spiritual in nature. Coaching is in no way to be construed or substituted as psychological counseling or any other type of therapy or medical advice. I will at all times exercise my best professional efforts, skills and care. However, I cannot guarantee the outcome of individual sessions and coaching efforts and my comments about the outcome are expressions of opinion only. I cannot make any guarantees other than to deliver the coaching services purchased to the best of my ability as described and help you achieve the attainment of your goals.
