Stop Donating at the End of the Year..What to do Instead

charity donations tax

Everyone wants to write the check in November and December to get that last minute, end of the year, tax deduction. You put a stamp on it, send it off and forget about it; and so does everyone else.

Think about all the cards you get in December. Do they all kinda run together? None really stand out. Because you get so many.

What about the card that shows up in March or June, or August which as we remember as students have NO credible Holiday or day off. A card at an unexpected time, not dictated by Hallmark or another consumer-driven holiday stands out.

Now, think about your donation check showing up to a charity with those same guidelines. It is going to stand out more, and you could get a lot more traction off that for your business.

Tips to be Efficient with Your Giving

  1. Donate at unexpected times

  2. Deliver the donation in person, snap a photo and post on social media

  3. Write a post about the charity and tag them

  4. Budget your donation throughout the year so you can afford to give without breaking the budget

Stand out from the crowd, support your charity and grow your business.
